Kristen Stewart Sleeps in Her Eye Makeup

Allure mag recently published an interesting feature about Kristen, saying that they've got a few on-screen makeup secrets to share with us. The most important is definitely the description of Kristen Stewart's smoky eye look for Runaways, which was achieved with good ol' fashioned sleep and messiness.
Robin Mathews, the department head for The Runaway's makeup team, talked about the eye makeup for the movie.

"Joan Jett and Cherie Currie weren't really into lipstick because it was such a pain in the ass to keep on," Mathews said, "so the look of The Runaways is all about the eyes."

While "neither of them needs a stitch of makeup," Mathews said, they did what they had to do to get their makeup look perfect.

"Sometimes we'd apply Kristen's eyeliner at night, then she'd sleep in it, and it was in all the right creases in the morning when she came to the set," Mathews told Allure.

"When she'd come in after sleeping in black kohl liner, I'd blend and smudge it out with a brown eye shadow and a small stiff eye shadow brush on the top lid and under the eye."
