Kristen & Taylor interview with MTV Australia

Photobucket

Twi-hard fans across Australia have been going wild for Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner since they landed Down Under this week. Us included!

A massive 4000 followers turned up for a Q+A with the mega stars at Sydneys Luna Park last night, braving the heavy wind and rain just to get a glimpse of their idols.

Screams spread across the harbour as the pair answered rounds of questions from die-hard Twilight supporters, including one marriage proposal!

Here in Oz to promote their new movie Eclipse, MTV caught up with the famous twosome to talk rivalries, kissing and six packs!

MTV: Tell us what fans can expect from the third Twilight movie Eclipse?

Taylor: If youre a fan of the book, then youre going to love the movie. We had a lot of fun making it and for me Id have to say Eclipse was my favourite book and Id say the movie turned out really well.

Kristen: It definitely steps it up in terms of action. Theres more of it going on, less within the dynamics of the characters and more about the introduction of newborns and the volturi comeback. Theres more danger, theres much more at risk.

MTV: Twilight is so huge, whats it like being involved with such a phenomenon?

K: For me its been so different from anything I thought Id ever be a part of. Ive always said that I never wanted to do a TV series because its too long, its too much of a commitment, its too structured. But its actually the coolest thing to be able to follow a character for so long. Because at the end of most movies I feel like Im ripped away from a project but in this case its so indulgent, its like I get months to work on just one character and then I get to do it again next year, its really cool.

MTV: How close are you really as a cast?

T: Weve spent a lot of time together so weve all grown very close and were all really good friends. I mean it would be a nightmare doing this series if we didnt like each other, it would be bad, so thankfully we all get along and have a lot of fun.

MTV: What do you think youd be doing if you werent in Twilight?

K: I have no idea.

T: I dont know, and I dont really want to think about it! Im just thankful it happened in the first place.

MTV: We hear youve seen some tourist attractions including Featherdale Wildlife Park since youve been in Oz. How was that?

T: It was really good.

K: Yeah it was incredible! You cant believe like a wallaby hops in and u can pick them up and put them in your pouch, it just doesnt seem real.

T: Number one hit for me was definitely the baby dingos, they were adorable.

MTV: If you came across the Harry Potter cast would there be any rivalry between you?

T: (Laughs) I dont think so, Im a fan of those movies.

K: I am too. The books came out when I was pretty young so Ive read them.

T: I havent met them though.

K: Neither have I. But Rob is one of them, kind of, and he really likes them, he speaks highly of them.

MTV: If you could be a werewolf or a vampire in real life, which would you be?

T: If I had to choose to be a vampire or a werewolf in real life, which is an unfortunate situation, Id probably have to stick with being a werewolf.

K: Id be a werewolf too. Theres just so many less problems.

MTV: So you dont want to live forever?

K: Nope, definitely not!

MTV: Youre up for Best Kiss and Global Superstar at the MTV Movie Awards. Do you think youll win?

K: Well I think me and Dakota are going to take it for Best Kiss for sure.

T: Yesss!

K: That would be so funny and awesome.

T: That would be hilarious. I dont think thats ever happened before. Girl on girl or guy on guy winning it at the MTV Movie Awards.

K: No I dont think so either so that would be cool.

T: Well see. Its an honour to be nominated.

MTV: The Eclipse soundtrack is pretty epic, but what is your personal favourite song from a movie?

T: Id have to say that Amy Adams song in Enchanted.

K: (Laughs) I love u so much. Will u marry me? Seriously.

MTV: The series finale of Jersey Shore has just aired on MTV Australia. Are you a fan of the show?

K: I havent seen it, but I know people make fun of people with it, like youre like him from Jersey Shore, apparently its bad.

MTV: One of the characters The Situation is famous for his abs. Taylor do you reckon yours are better than his?

T: (Laughs) Probably not, but I guess Id have to see them.

K: Ohh theyre better!

Dont miss The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in cinemas across Australia July 1.

Meanwhile check out a sneak-peek of whats to come in the trailer below

ECLIPSE Soundtrack Song by Song Review!.

( Also: there are some certain SPOILERS in there...)

1. Metric "Eclipse (All Yours)" - Very Catchy and lyrics that really mesh well with the presence of the movie. We believe this might be Bella's theme for the movie. Placement might be found towards the end of the movie after all the fight scenes, etc.

2. Muse "Neutron Star Collision ( Love is Forever)" - Heidi & Lauren have been a HUGE Muse fans before the Twilight Saga threw them into ultra popularity domestically here in the US. So naturally, we were excited to see what they would bring the fans for this 3rd movie in the series. The sound is very reminiscent of their latest album, futuristic sounds with an 80's pop feel to it with some Beethoven thrown in at the end. We can't really see the song fitting in any particular scene, so it will probably be in the ending credits.

3. The Bravery "Ours" -This is a song that we can see fans rocking out to whether it be in their living room, seeing the band in concert or at a Twilight Convention. It's tune is very energetic and could possibly be in the graduation scene or the graduation party at the Cullens.

4. Florence + The Machine "Heavy in your Arms": LOVE LOVE LOVE! This song had us captivated from the very beginning and meshes well with the entire theme of 'Eclipse'.Very edgy and has the undertones of Queen meets Evanescence meets Gospel-esque dramatic vocals. This song wins the award for "Most Likely to be on Repeat".

5. Sia "My Love" - Initial reaction was that the beginning of the song sounded like background music that seamlessly moves with the movie. Fans might have seen it in a previous trailer or TV Spot. Could be featured in a meadow scene or after the proposal. Very instrumental and we feel it's the Lykke Li "Possibility" of this Soundtrack.

6. Fan Farlo "Atlas" - Heavy drum beats meets ukulele. Not much to really describe about this song other than it was a catchy tune. We don't have a particular scene that this would fit in.

7. The Black Keys "Chop and Change" - Our immediate thought was that this was what Muse's song SHOULD have sounded like. Edgy beat that had a lead singer with a Bob Dylan like voice. Very short song compared to others.

8. The Dead Weather "Rolling in on a Burning Tire" - Definitely the theme song for the Newborns coming out of the water or Major Fight scene. Jack White reveals his geniusousness ( definitely NOT a word but just go with it) once again and Alison's voice is very haunting yet appealing. Infectious beats with some of the oddest background sounds.

9. Beck and Bat for Lashes " Let's Get Lost"- Sounds like a remix of an early 90's club beat song. Very catchy and reminds us of Thom Yorke with it's roughness and eclectic beats. This is definitely an Edward and Bella song and we predict that it will be in the "Leg Hitch" scene.

10. Vampire Weekend "Jonathon Low"- Fans of Vampire Weekend will not be disappointed with the band's contribution to this Soundtrack. They stay very true to their original sound but with softer lyrics. It has an upbeat feel with a Rock/Opera meets Italian "Night out on the town".

11. Unkle "With You in My Head (featuring The Black Angels)" - Not a huge fan of this song. It reminds us of a 60's Hawaii- 5-0 song with a slight Radiohead undertone.

12. Eastern Conference Champions " A Million Miles an Hour" - Very reminiscent of Stone Temple Pilots. It's catchy but only for transitional purposes somewhere in this movie. Again, not a huge favorite.

13. Band of Horses " Life on Earth"- Overall it was a great song. Not a lot a lyrics, more of an instrumental sort of song. Nevertheless, we would have liked to have seen it more upbeat towards the end. Possible scene: When Jacob breaks all the bones in his body or just a Jacob song in general.

14. Cee Lo Green "What Part of Forever" - We love this song just as much as Florence + The Machine. It was refreshing to hear this song after a few low key SLOW songs. It's a uniquely catchy and addictive song that fans will really appreciate and rock out to. It wins our award for "Most Surprising Song on the Soundtrack".

15. Howard Shore "Jacob's Theme"- This song's basis is quite sad and heartbreaking, which could easily go along with Jacob's feelings at seeing Edward and Bella together, etc. However, the song doesn't stick out like Alexandre Desplat's "The Meadow" from the 'New Moon' Soundtrack.

Overall it was a pretty good soundtrack, with some key artists and their respective songs that will make it memorable in most ways. However, it could have used more songs that sticks to the theme of "action-packed, mysterious and keeping the fans on their toes" that is 'Eclipse'. We give it a solid B+ as an overall grading.

Make sure to leave your reviews of the 'Eclipse' Soundtrack HERE when it finally releases on June 8th!

Could On The Road be Kristen Stewarts ticket to high critical acclaim?

Though Kristen Stewarts career outside of Twilight has focused on independent films, her most recent projects have yet to win critical acclaim. With the exception of Welcome to the Rileys (which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance), neither The Yellow Handkerchief nor The Runaways has been up for critical awards. Yet, last week, ION Cinema named On The Road as one of 20 films predicted for screening at the Cannes Film Festival in 2011. Given Brazilian director Walter Salles track record at Cannes, the prediction might just be right.
Salles Linha de Passe and The Motorcycle Diaries were each nominated for the Cannes Film Festival Palme dOr, the highest prize awarded to competing films. At the 2004 festival, The Motorcycle Diaries won the Franois Chalais Award (which rewards the film most dedicated to the values of life affirmation and of journalism) and the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury (which rewards the film most dedicated to exposing the depths of human beings). Could On the Road be next?
Given the combined critical cred of the playersFrancis Ford Coppola, Gus Van Sant, Kirsten Dunst, and Jose Riverasuch a fate could be likely. Writer Jose Rivera won accolades for The Motorcycle Diaries; Kirsten Dunst for Interview with the Vampire; Francis Ford Coppola and Gus Van Sant for Apocalypse Now and Milk, respectively.

Kristen Discusses Wanted 2 Rumors With Alicia Malone

Alicia here,

This morning I had the absolute pleasure of talking to adorable "Twilight" twosome Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart, who are in town to promote the upcoming "The Twilight Saga : Eclipse". I was absolutely blown away by just how sweet, funny and down-to-earth these two were. They truly and totally surpassed all expectations.

In addition to discussing "Eclipse" and the upcoming "Breaking Dawn" ("I can't wait to see Renesmee!", said Kristen; "We have a very good director behind us who can help with that" added Taylor), I also had the opportunity to quiz Stewart on those "Wanted 2" rumours and get a "Stretch Armstrong" update out of the wonderfully-ribbed Lautner.

Stewart was rumoured to be replacing Angelina Jolie in "Wanted 2" a few weeks back. One almost expected her to laugh off the rumours - but funnily enough, she didn't.

"Right now, I have two projects lined up", Stewart, coyly, responded. "I'm doing On the Road this Summer and then I'm doing Breaking Dawn. So other than that I have nothing 'nailed down'."

Doesn't sound like a denial to me!

Of his future projects, Lautner said "Stretch Armstrong", based on the toy line, is happening but "it's not happening for a while though, about a year from now. I'm doing a movie called Abduction which starts in about a month. Then Breaking Dawn. And hopefully Stretch after that".

Wow, "Stretch Armstrong" is a long ways off - let's hope it doesn't fall by the wayside (like the "Max Steel" movie that Lautner was going to do, did!).

Look out for my interview with this "hot" duo shortly!

Mag Famous For Trickery Prints Rob & Kristen Breakup

Photobucket
Its Over between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, declares Famous magazine in big, bold letters under the words, Rob confirms to the US media.

Really?

Pattinson NEVER confirmed that to the media.

NEVER ever.

Nevertheless, Famous, which is often famous for its imaginative, though not necessarily accurate cover stories, claims, Robert confirmed the news late last week to stunned cast and crew members on the set of his latest flick Water for Elephants - in which he plays a vet who joins the circus declaring, Im single.

The mag alleges, A movie rep then confirmed to Fox News, Rob is not dating anyone and emphasized, He just tells everyone he is single.

Famous, which likes to use the words confirms or confirmed yet doesnt actually confirm anything, goes on to say, Friends of the star confirmed that Kirsten who flew into Australia this week to promote the third instalment (sic) of the Twilight franchise, Eclipse is devastated.

Uh, she hardly looks devastated from the pics weve seen from Down Under.

We can go on and on with all the other nonsense Famous prints in this piece, including a spy telling the mag, [Kirsten] really does love Robert. She wont let him go without a fight, but lets consider what this entire story is based on a WRONG report from the Fox411 blog.

Did those phrases Rob is not dating anyone and He just tells everyone he is single sound familiar?

They should.

In the false Fox411 report last week about Pattinson making moves on Reese Withspoon, which Gossip Cop busted, a so-called Fox411 insider said, Rob is not dating anyone and he tells everyone he is single.

Huh, so Fox411s insider suddenly became a Fox rep when cited in Famous?

Bottom line: the Famous article based its fake premise on an equally fake Fox411 blog story.

None of these things were ever said, and the story is not true.

Famous is just becoming famous for its famously inaccurate cover stories.

Robert Pattinson hysteria is crazy. Would you want that level of fame?
Ive already experienced girls screaming my name, so I wouldnt say its too alien, but I think Robs in a very difficult situation. Hes a friend and hes a good guy. I know him, so I know for a fact that he wants to be known for his work, Westwick said
