A few days ago I got to speak with Cam Gigandet at Comic-Con. While some of you may recognize him from The Unborn, The O.C., Never Back Down or Pandorum, most of you will probably know him from the first Twilight movie as he played James (the villain). Since wrapping on Twilight, Gigandet has been working constantly and hes got a few projects set to come out soonwith one of them being Screen Gems Priest (which was the reason I got to speak with him at Comic-Con).
During the interview we talked about how he got involved with Priest and what the films about. We also talked about why hes so press shy, what its like being back at Comic-Con, his thoughts on 3D movies, what does he take away from being in the Twilight franchise. He also revealed hes been cast in director Joel Schumachers Trespass alongside Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman. Hit the jump to watch the interview:
And since most of you dont know what Priest is aboutheres the synopsis. The film gets released next May.
Priest is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. Paul Bettany is Priest, a legendary warrior priest during the last Vampire War, who now lives in obscurity among the other human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities controlled by the Church. But when his 18-year-old niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires in the desolate wastelands outside, Priest breaks his sacred vows and ventures out to find her and seek vengeance upon those responsible, especially their brutal leader (Karl Urban). Priest is joined on his crusade by his nieces boyfriend, Hicks (Cam Gigandet), a local outpost sheriff, and Priestess (Maggie Q), a member of his former legion of vampire-killers who has otherworldly fighting skills.

Cam Gigandet Exclusive Interview at Comic-Con; Talks PRIEST, TWILIGHT and Says He Has Been Cast in TRESPASS from ColliderVideos on Vimeo.
Last week I got to interview Robert Pattinson for his new movie Remember Me. Since hes answered every possible question regarding the Twilight franchise and his other upcoming projects, what I decided to do was ask the people who follow me on Twitter to supply me with questions. While I knew Id get a few things to askI was not prepared for the amount of emails and tweets that would be sent my way. I was blown away.
Since so many of you asked about certain things like would he do a commentary on the Remember Me DVD and what was up with his music, I didnt single out any one person when I asked the questions. Just know I read every single email and tweet you sent in. Saying that, I mentioned who provided me with the first question, and we also talked about what hed like to do if he had a free day in New York City and will he ever get into social networking. If youre a fan of Robert Pattinson, Im confident youll like this interview as I made sure to ask a few things that havent previously been asked.
Robert Pattinson
What did he learn about himself while playing Tyler Whats going on with his music Will he do DVD commentaries for his movies If he had one day in NYC and he was left alone, what would he do I ask about social networking and will he ever do it
Frosty from Collider interviewed Chris Weitz on the making of the New Moon DVD. Now Frosty had a different perspective from most in that he was able to get some early info from Chris back at Comic Con. Check out the interview, it shows how things evolve over time.
With The Twilight Saga: New Moon hitting DVD and Blu-ray on March 20, I was able to talk with director Chris Weitz about the upcoming release. When the film was getting ready to hit theaters, I asked Chris Weitz about the eventual DVD release and he told me to expect a commentary from Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner and about ten minutes of deleted scenes. So when I got the specs of the DVD/Blu-ray and saw there was no commentary and no deleted scenes, I knew this would be the main topic of conversation. Also, I asked everyone on Twitter to send me questions and a ton of you asked me about the deleted scenes and commentary.
The way Weitz described it to me, the reason youre not going to be able to hear Kristen, Rob and Taylor is due to time. When they were recording the commentary, for whatever reason, they couldnt fit it into the schedule. I know it sucks for fans that were looking forward to itbut the DVD is due around the time the movie is getting released and that last month is very rough on everyone.
