Emma Roberts talks about the Vanity Fair cover with Blake, Kristen & Amanda

Photobucket

JJ: When I think of you, I remember the Vanity Fair cover you did with Blake Lively, Kristen Stewart and Amanda Seyfried, and all four of you have become so famous since then.

ER: That was a fun cover. It was really funny because it was before anyone had anything. I remember we all thought we were such an odd group, and I had actually just come from taking my SATs that day to shoot that cover. Thats how long ago that was. I remember thinking, How weird. Tts just weird to look back on it.

JJ: Do you keep in touch with anyone from that shoot?

ER: When I see them I am friendly with all of them. I really love all of them for different reasons, as far as their careers. They have all done some great movies. Im not on a texting basis with them, but I think they are all really

awesome.

Flashback:Vanity Fair Honored Kristen Stewart a Year Before Twilight Mania Began.

Photobucket

Original post 2/13/09

Vanity Fair knows exactly whos in and whos not. Back in 2007, the magazine featured Kristen Stewart for their Vanities Section even before the Twilight mania began.

Since September 2006, Vanity Fair has been featuring a full-page 50s-styled pinup portrait of a promising young star the magazine chooses for each month. The magazine describes the pinup featured stars as names you need to know and faces you wont have trouble remembering. On April 2007, Kristen Stewart became one of these featured stars as seen on the picture (above) photographed by James White. On the Vanity Fair website:

Age: 17. Provenance: North Hollywood, California. You first glimpsed her as Jodie Fosters doppelgnger daughter in Panic Room (2002). [Director] David Fincher does a lot of takes, Stewart says. There was this one scene we must have done, like, 80 times. I didnt know that it wasnt the norm. Now I wouldnt be as chill with it Because now shes a prolific industry veteran, with four films due out this year. Namely, In the Land of Women, The Messengers, The Cake Eaters (the directorial debut of Mary Stuart Masterson, with Stewart in the lead role), and Sean Penns Into the Wild, based on the Jon Krakauer book. But is this the life for her? Not necessarily: I want to go to college for literature. I want to be a writer. I mean, I love what I do, but its not all I want to do - be a professional liar for the rest of my life. Still, Kristens no brooder: I love big-band music, and Im taking swing classes now. I cant wait till Im going to be able to be tossed up in the air.

Yes, Kristen has been acting since she was 8, but it was only until she became Bella Swan in Twilight film and played opposite Robert Pattinson did Kristen Stewart became an international star. With the Twilight sequel New Moon to start filming on March, and three films (Welcome to the Rileys, The Runaways and K-11?) on the works, Vanity Fair had their prediction spot on.

I'm not a fan of the Twilight movies. But Robert Pattinson is smart, articulate and paying a high price for fame. http://bit.ly/h21IXz

Preview of Robert Pattinson's Vanity Fair Italy interview

Photobucket

I dont know why but all Robert Pattinson interviews start with a description on how he is dressed. My interview, however, has not yet been written: it will be ready in Italy when his new movie is released, the one after Twilight. I mean Water for Elephants; probably in May. But what I do know is that I will do something different, I wont say anything about how he was dressed.

I also know that in Pattinsons case, even the smallest details cant be ignored, as millions of women worldwide, from 9 years old, would sacrifice more than a broken a nail just to get their hands on the smallest piece of information on him. Therefore heres a detailed account of Pattinsons look. The location: a second floor suite at the Four Seasons hotel in Los Angeles. The time: 3:30 in the afternoon and although it is not his first interview of the day, it seems like he just got out of bed.

Finally he arrives: He pours himself a cup of coffee, I need to wake up, he apologizes. And, indeed, he has the sleepy face, but his eyes are incredibly clear. Then he sits down and puts his feet near the coffee table in front of the chair. Hes wearing a pair of black jeans, quite narrow at the bottom, he moves back on bended knees exposing bare skin between his short socks (which are also black) and the edge of his trousers. He has white skin and dark hair that is sparse. Oh his feet: a pair of Dr. Martens, a va sans dire, black. His outfit is completed with a T-shirt and a jacket that I would say are vintage. The hair on his neck is shaved, with a little bit visible at the front , his skin is clear and smooth. And his lips: I swear, the reddest Ive ever seen on a man

Anna Kendrick: 3 new outtakes from Vanity Fair shoot & New Interview with The Daily Mail

How actress Anna Kendrick survived the Twilight zone:

You might think that starring in the Twilight movies and notching up an Oscar nomination opposite George Clooney would go to a girls head Not so, discovers Lina Das, for actress Anna Kendrick

Anna Kendrick slips without fanfare into the lobby of the West Hollywood hotel where we are scheduled to meet: some achievement given that shes part of the teen-idolised Twilight cast, whose every move is usually accompanied by ear-splitting shrieks from adolescent fans. But Anna insists: Im one of the few who gets to leave home and not be followed around. Actually, when I do get children coming up to me, it makes me slightly nervous because I feel like I have to be on my best behaviour. I have a habit of cursing, so I have to keep it reined in. It feels like Im visiting my grandmother!

The Twilight films, based on the bestselling novels of Stephenie Meyer, centre on the love story between Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and the vampiric Edward Cullen (played by our own Robert Pattinson), who vies for her affections with Bellas childhood friend and werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Anna, as Bellas best friend Jessica Stanley, has one of the more fun parts in the film, unleashing all manner of teenage cattiness as she struggles with her envy of Bellas popularity.

In truth, relations between Anna and Kristen are much warmer. When I met Kristen, I knew her from some of her other films, says Anna, and its so strange because she turned into my friend, and then just as quickly turned into one of the biggest stars on the planet. Im on the outside and I really dont know what to make of it even now. I cant imagine what she and Rob are going through. Particularly as Kristen and Rob have themselves been dating since last year.

Of course, the true beauty is the Vanity Fair cover, Elizabeth Taylor. The magazine has several intimate shots of Taylor and the man she married twice, actor Richard Burton, plus love letters Burton sent Taylor during their tempestuous relationship.
Vanity Fair is on newsstands Friday, or visit Vanity Fair.com. "Eclipse" hits theaters June 30.

The women of Twilight grace the pages of Vanity Fair

The rumors were true: Vanity Fair has come out with another fantastic spread featuring the stars of Twilight. This time its an interview with five vamp-playing women and a lone she-wolf, along with decadent photos featuring all six.
Elizabeth Reaser, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Dakota Fanning, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Julia Jones joined VFs Nancy Jo Sales to talk Eclipse for the June 2nd issue. Clad in blood-colored dresses with lips painted to match, the starlets talk about the film, the actors, and the Twilight Franchise.
Said Nikki Reed of the Eclipse set, Its just like high school in that the wolves really dont hang out with the vampires. Thats the yin and yang of our movie. The wolves are a bunch of cubs. They run around and wrestle and punch each other. When do you see us [vampires] touch each other? Were cold.
Another interesting comment came from Elizabeth Reaser (who plays mom Esme Cullen) on what its like working with so many hot boys. Oh, it gets so old, you have no idea. It has no effect on me. Theyre all gorgeous and lovely boysYou just want someone interesting and weird at a certain point. I have a massive crush on Larry David.
Beyond that, Bryce Dallas Howard and Dakota Fanning both dish on their obsession for the franchise, which predated their involvement with the films. Ashley Greene asserts the guaranteed success of Eclipse, and Julia Jones talks about acting alongside high-tech special effects that allowed her to phase into a wolf.
In addition to the print version of the article a four and a half minute behind-the-scenes video will be available on VF.com. The issue is available on newsstands today in New York and Los Angeles and will be available nationwide on June 8th.

Twilight stars to return to Vanity Fair?

Though not yet confirmed on VanityFair.com, rumors are afoot that the stars of Twilight will be featured in the magazine in July. Last month there was talk of an interview with the ladies of Twilight; more recently, there have been reports of a July cover featuring more of the cast. Either way, fans are hoping that the rumors are true.

Flawlessly-executed photos have much to do with fan loyalty to the magazines Twilight features. The December 2008 issue featured stunning shots of the ensemble Twilight cast at play. In stark relief to other photo shoots of the time (which staged dimly-lit scenes, outfitted stars in pale makeup, and simulated the aura of Forks), Vanity Fair gave us sun tans and short sleeves and flushed faces of summer as the cast romped in an arid field.

The Robert Pattinson cover (December 2009) also went over well with fans. With beachfront cliffs as the backdrop and Rob in the wardrobe of a fading New England day, readers were treated to evocative shots of Rob, including one of the actor sporting a tuxedo while seated at a piano oddly placed in a seafront field. Another fan favorite: Rob lounging in a chair reading a copy of a book called Sex-Driven People.

Other covers and features have included Kristen Stewart and Anna Kendrick (most recently as part of a March 2010 cover shared with other up and coming Hollywood women). Vanity Fair has also maintained ongoing coverage of the Twilight brood through its online outletsVF Daily and affiliate blog Little Gold Men
