With�er�spoon, 34, who�s work�ing with the Twi�light heart�throb on Water for Ele�phants, intro�duced her daugh�ter to Pat�tin�son, 24, Thurs�day on the movie�s Piru, Calif., set.

�Ava seemed espe�cially excited to meet him,� an onlooker tells PEOPLE, who also notes that younger brother Dea�con, 6, chat�ted with the British actor.

�The film�ing with Rob is going really well,� adds an on-set source �and Reese was excited for the kids to meet him.�
