Parade.com: Twilight's First Family: The Cullens Talk 'Eclipse'

The undead Cullens have finally come to terms with Edward's human love Bella, as the pair moves closer to marriage. In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the Cullens are ready to fight for her against an army of newborn vampires.

That meant lots of action for Peter Facinelli (Carlisle), Kellan Lutz (Emmett), Ashley Greene (Alice) and Nikki Reed (Rosalie). They told Parade.com's Jeanne Wolf why they believe in the power of eternal love and the power of Stephenie Meyer's novels on the big screen.

No guessing about who's coming to dinner.
Peter Facinelli: "Doesn't everyone have someone like Edward in their family that seems to be in a problematical relationship? You're like, 'I really wish they weren't dating that person,' but because you love them you just smile and say, 'Welcome to the family.' I think love makes you do some pretty crazy things like even giving your life up for all eternity."

Nikki Reed: "I mean, ask my brother how many girls he's tried to date and how many have lasted after the family met them. I grew up very fast and I moved out very young, so when I've been in serious relationships, it was somehow much easier to bring a guy home to meet my family."

Keeping love off the menu.
Peter Facinelli: "Edward shouldn't really play with his food though. Romancing Bella is like falling in love with your mashed potatoes. Our family is living on a really strict bloodless diet, and when you're on a diet you get cranky sometimes. I've always said, 'Why don't the Cullens have a petting farm, like a little zoo in the backyard, so if we want like a snack, we just go and grab a squirrel. It would be like having a candy bar or something."

Fighting for Bella and Edward.
Peter Facinelli: "We trained for six weeks to take on the 'newborns' who are the bad vampires. We all loved the action stuff. My daughter came down and was watching one of the scenes. After we filmed it, I let her try. It was awesome. This 12-year-old girl was throwing this stunt guy across the room. That's how good those guys make us look."

The biggest fan magnet.
Kellan Lutz: "We've all stayed so down to earth, and it's just funny to see life change for the people around us, especially Rob. It's like when a fan lunges at him and you only see one bodyguard around, and then ten more jump out of the crowd where they've been hiding. God, it's crazy to think about needing a bodyguard. But Rob can't take any chances. He's a heartthrob, but he's also a great guy and we all love him because he hasn't changed as a person."

A strange Twi-hard encounter.
Kellan Lutz: "When we were filming in Oregon I was in my hotel room and there was a knock on the door. I thought it was my castmates because we were all going out to get some dinner. I had just gotten out of the shower and I grabbed a towel. Thank God I didn't just throw open the door because I was practically naked. I heard voices going, 'Emmett, we're your fans' and I could tell they were near tears. So I put some clothes on as fast as I could, opened the door and it was two lovely ladies holding a giant basket full of goodies for all of us."

It's all between the covers.
Ashley Greene: "I remember I read the first book in a day and a half and fell in love with it, and went right on to read the second and third. That's when I understood why people are so totally into the story. I remember when I finally got cast, I was so ecstatic that I just burst into tears. I didn't realize it was going to be such a huge deal until we started filming in Portland and my mom was like 'Do you have a fan site yet?' I was like, 'People don't know who I am.' Now, everywhere there are screaming fans."

Who's your daddy?
Peter Facinelli: "I am in charge. We spent a lot of time together in rehearsals, a lot of time helping each other out. I think there's a bond there because we all respected each other as actors. When I see them, they put a smile on my face. I have a profound love, like a family love, for all of the Cullens and for Bella and for Jacob. I just want to go over and give them a hug. I enjoy them. We did things together like they'd come over and play poker at the end of a day of filming."

Breaking Dawn Might Split in Two Without Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene?

Starry-eyed, vampire-loving romantics aren't the only ones jealous of Bella and Edward right now.

Summit Entertainment is primed to split the final Twilight Saga installment, Breaking Dawn, into two films: author Stephenie Meyer has signed off; Bill Condon's onboard to direct two; Robert Pattinson is ready to roll, as are Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. So what's the holdup on declaring Breaking Dawn a twofer?

According to the Hollywood Reporter, it's some of the so-called secondary and lesser-paid stars of the series, particularly Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene, who have not agreed to Summit's terms and are demanding more money for their pale-faced efforts.

A source told the trade that the offers the actors received for the proposed fifth film were "offensive" in comparison with how much dough the franchise has earned. Another insider says, meanwhile, that Summit might be willing to cut ties with at least one of them to "make a point."

Now, fans have already been forced to accept a midsaga cast change: Bryce Dallas Howard replaces Rachelle Lefevre as the murderous Victoria in the upcoming Eclipse.

But there might be a mutiny if the Cullen clan is replaced with newcomers!

Offical Report: More People Naming Their Babies Cullen

Who says the government never does anything for us? They're out there studying popular baby names! The Social Security Administration has released its report on the most popular baby names in 2009, and there are thankfully very few Apples or Suris (and Miley, as in Cyrus, has dropped in popularity), but as The New York Times noted, the name Cullen is growing in popularity at a most alarming rate, "leaping almost 300 spots from 2008 for the biggest increase of any boy's name; it wedged firmly between Braiden and Kason." (Braiden? Kason? If you're out there, please speak up.)

But the Times goes ever farther with its vampire baby theory: "The most popular boy's name was Jacob, an eternal favorite that happens to be the name of the buff rival of paler-than-thou Edward: Jacob Black. The most popular name for girls was Isabella, the progenitor of Bella, the love interest of both Edward the vampire and Jacob the werewolf. Just plain Bella logs in at 58."

I'm not buying that Jacob, a very popular name from the Old Testament, has much to do with which "team" parents are on, and Isabella has been in the top ten since 2004. As a rep from the SSA notes, many authors use baby name guides for inspiration -- naming characters is such a pain in the butt, no? -- but then there's this couple:

"Cullen was the choice of an eerily repetitive 555 couples. They included Brad Lafferty and Michelle Mikkelsen, who live in the Bronx. Ms. Mikkelsen said she read the last book in Ms. Meyer's series, Breaking Dawn - which includes the birth of a half-vampire, half-human child - while pregnant."

Personally, reading Breaking Dawn while pregnant would be right up there with Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist while watching The Brood as far as freaking me the eff out, and I feel bad disparaging their choice of baby names, but... Cullen? Really? Could we at least just go for Edward or something that won't get the kid beaten up every day after school by the kids names Jacob?

Eclipse: Description of the battle scene in Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart film

All die hard Twilight fans aka Twilighters are eagerly awaiting 30th June when, for the 3rd time, they will get blown away into a surreal world of romance between human and vampire with a touch of werewolf. �Eclipse� is the 3rd instalment of the Stephenie Meyer fantasy fiction and �Eclipse� has some great action stunts, battles and dark themes.

Actor Kellan Lutz, who essays the vampire Emmett Cullen, in the films, gives us an insight into the epic battle scenes and recalls the experience he had filming those scenes.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times newspaper, he recounts, �It was a bit weird, like for the main battle scene where the newborns come in. I mean, we�re looking at these cardboard cut outs as we�re acting, as we�re supposed to be head-butting creatures. So to see it live on the screen is so cool.

And running on the treadmills to do the chase scene was awesome. We were being pulled by a truck going really fast to make it seem like we were running at vampiric speed. To see it on screen, it looks epic.�

We are already into the 2nd week of May and with June being the unleashing for �Eclipse�, the countdown has begun��And, the wait couldn�t be more exciting..
