Twilight's Robert Pattinson shows off his acting chops in The Bad Mother's Handbook, a 2007 BBC family drama in which the future Edward Cullen plays a super uncomfortable, scarf-wearing nerdand is totally adorable at it, sighwho begins a sweet romance with a pregnant classmate.

Hitting DVD on the heels of Eclipse this summer, the film also stars Dr. Who's Catherine Tate, which adds immeasurably to its potent combination of nerd-chic and romantic angst. Check out some of the R.Pattziest parts in the clip above. You like?

WIN! 'The Bad Mother's Handbook' on DVD

The Bad Mothers Handbook tells the story of three generations of women - seventeen-year old Charlotte (Holly Grainger), her mum Karen (Catherine Tate) and her Nan (Anne Reid). Both hilarious and wise, it is a clear-eyed look at motherhood and childhood, from the moment the condom breaks to the moment you hear your babys first cry. The realisation that no two mothers are alike and that ultimately love is the most important thing of all.

Twilight and New Moon star Robert Pattinson plays the part of 17 year-old floppy-haired Daniel. Originally from Guildford, Daniel has just moved into the area and is feeling unpopular and awkward. Desperate to escape his home-life and bickering parents, hes looking for someone to latch onto someone who sees the world in the same quirky way as he does. Someone like Charlotte.

Karen gave birth to Charlotte when she was a teenager and cant help feeling accidental motherhood meant she has missed out on life. What with looking after her increasingly eccentric mother and keeping an eagle eye on her daughter to ensure she doesnt do anything to jeopardise her chances of going to University, Karen has got her work cut out for her. But theres something else. She cant put her finger on it, but somethings niggling away at her. Somewhere along the line somethings gone wrong...

We have 20 copies up for grabs!
Before Edward Cullen there was a love struck teenager with bad hair and an even worse dress sense. That boy was Daniel, played by Robert Pattinson in Bad Mothers Handbook. This single drama also stars Catherine Tate and Anne Reid and will be released on DVD by ITV STUDIOS Home Entertainment on 29th March 2010

The Bad Mothers Handbook sees Pattinson in a completely different role to his cool, calm and collected vampire status as Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise. The Bad Mothers Handbook was originally filmed in 2007 following Pattinsons breakthrough role as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter franchise Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It was originally broadcast on ITV1 in 2007.

Based on the novel by Kate Long, this hilarious and poignant story takes an honest look at motherhood and childhood from all angles.
