Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Twilight Eclipse International trailer
Really splitting hairs now with Twilight coverage and specifically, twilight trailer coverage, but this is international trailer for Twilight: Eclipse which is only slightly (which is an understatement) different than the domestic version that debuted earlier this month. We also noted a fan-made trailer mash-up of the trailer from last week and the one we got back in Marchdont forget the Eclipse clip released either! This week also brought us an image of Riley (Xavier Samuel) from Eclipse, which can be added to new looks from last week (Ashley Greene, finally!) and earlier in the month. Eclipse his theaters on June 30th and is directed by David Slade.
All that aside, and speaking of directors, the big Twilight related news this week has been the confirmation that Bill Condon will be helming Breaking Dawn, the fourth chapter of the Twilight Saga, bringing to an end a reportedly high-profile hunt for a director.

A note to fans from BREAKING DAWN director Bill Condon
Greetings Twihards, Twifans, Twilight Moms, Team Edward, Team Jacob and Team Switzerland,
I just want to say hello to all of you and let you know that I'm stoked to be getting underway on the adventure of making BREAKING DAWN. As you've probably heard, I've been given a very warm welcome by Stephenie and Team Summit - who are super-focused, as you know, on getting these movies right.
I'm pretty busy bringing myself up to speed on what you already know by heart: I've read BREAKING DAWN twice, rewatched Catherine's and Chris's movies 2-3 times each, have all four CDs playing in my car, and have Catherine's notebook, Mark Cotta Vaz's companion books, and even Volume 1 of the graphic novel here on my desk - a corner of my office is starting to look like Hot Topic. I realize that this barely qualifies me for "newborn" status in the universe you've been living inside for a few years now, but a guy's gotta start somewhere.
Like many of you, I've always been slightly obsessed with vampires, dating back to the prime-time series DARK SHADOWS, which I followed avidly as a kid. But that alone hadn't been enough to get me interested in making a vampire movie, even though my early screenwriting and directing efforts grew out of a great love for horror movies and thrillers. Since making GODS AND MONSTERS thirteen years ago, however, I've been yearning for a return to a story with Gothic overtones.
The wonderful world that Stephenie has created has obviously struck a chord with you, and I don't think it's difficult to see why. For me, her characters are simultaneously timeless, yet very modern. Rooted in a beautiful, real landscape with a great sense of place, Bella, Edward, Jacob, and the rest of the Forks/La Push menagerie, experience emotions that are primal, and universal: desire, despair, jealousy - and it all comes to fruition in BREAKING DAWN. This is a final chapter in the best sense; not just wide in scope and scale, but emotionally charged and intense throughout.
I'm a huge admirer of the already-iconic Kristen, Robert, and Taylor, and wanted to be the one to work with them as they face the challenges of bringing your beloved characters to the end of their journeys. Really, what could be more fun than that?
Please feel free to ask questions in the comments section below, and I'll do my best to answer them. I hope that this will be the first of many occasions I'll get to check in with you as we set to work bringing BREAKING DAWN to the screen. I am excited and grateful to have all of you alongside me for my TWILIGHT journey.
All best,
Bill Condon
P.S. Answer #1: No, there won't be any musical numbers

Breaking Dawn not following the formula for fantasy/action success
By Kim Palacios
Whether hiring yet a fourth director (Bill Condon) to lead Breaking Dawn was a good decision is the question that journalists everywhere are asking. Despite excitement that any announcement has been made after months of silence from Summit Entertainment, sentiment about the choice has been lukewarm.
This may have little to do with Condon, whose talent is undeniable, and more to do with ire for Summits choice of yet a different director to adapt the fourth book to the screen. The approach to directing the Twilight Saga films is a far cry from other fantasy/action series such as Lord of The Rings, in which Peter Jackson stood at the helm for all three. Even the Harry Potter series, after a total of six films, has only seen four directors. The director of the most recent two films, David Yates, is confirmed to direct the next two; by the time the film series ends, he will have directed half.
It is also worth noting that both Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter series films pulled in more at the box office and won more prestigious awards than Twilight. IMDB Pro reports worldwide theater sales for Twilight at $351M and $688M for New Moon. The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter franchises did enormously better, with each film in each franchise averaging between $800M and $900M per film.
Optimists are hopeful that Oscar Award-winner Condon is just what the Twilight franchise needs to bring an extra degree of recognition to the films. The first six films of the Harry Potter series were nominated for a total of seven Academy Awards. The Lord of the Rings films? An astonishing thirty, with an unbelievable seventeen wins.

Robert Pattinson The Most Popular Figure At Madame Tussaud's: More Than Queen Of England
Robert Pattinson, actor of the Twilight series was honored about two months ago with a wax figure in the Madam Tussaud in New York City (located in Times Square). Twilight fans came from around the globe to touch his hair, take a photo and really get a good look at the famous actor up close and personal. And they are still coming.
I can confirm that R Patz [sic] has been a HUGE hit this weekend since joining the A list party at Madame Tussauds in fact more people bought a picture of him than The Queen and Barack Obama put together!! says the PR staff of the famous museum only weeks after the display was put in.
However over the last weekend, the museum was actually jammed still with Twilight fans. In an orderly line people had to wait to see the actor, take a picture and run their fingers through his hair.

Kristen Stewart in 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2010 - the Top Ten
The Readers of FHM has voted Kristen Stewart as one of the exist 10 women in the world.
#6 Kristen Stewart
NEW ENTRY
A simply stunning debut for the 20-year-old star of the $700m-grossing-and-counting Twilight mega franchise. With one film left in the trilogy (Eclipse), and a BAFTA Rising Star award on her sideboard, the LA-born actress is taking on more challenging roles. First she stars as jailbait rocker Joan Jett in The Runaways, then a Tony Soprano-baiting prostitute in Welcome To The Rileys and finally in K-11 she'll play Butterfly, a male-to-female transsexual with autism, which ironically is also Twilight's target demographic.
