30 Movie Characters Who Should Present The Oscars - Bella Mention

Photobucket

Bella Swan (Twilight)

Upside: Shed pull in the pre-teen demographic amongst the viewing public. Surly adolescents everywhere would be sure to tune in.

Downside: Trying to get her to stop scowling long enough to say a few words might prove problematic.

Opening Monologue: Yeah, so its great to be here. There have been so many great movies this year, especially The Kings Speech and The Social Network. For me, I liked The Kings Speech best. No, wait, I meant The Social Network. Although The Kings Speech was greatbut I loved The Social Network. Oh God, I JUST CANT DECIDE!

TheFABLifes Rendition Of Vampified Bella Cullen

Photobucket
Since we have yet to see (and gush over) an actual Breaking Dawn production still of an undead Bella Cullen (were still getting used to her married name!), the ants in our pants took to Photoshop to render what we think both the newborn and vegetarian Bella will look like. Kristen Stewart (photos) looks pretty gorgeous in both stages, right?

Singer/Guitarist Corin Tucker Inspired By 'Twilight' Heroine Bella Swan

I'm a really big fan of the 'Twilight' books, and Lauren Ross from Kill Rock Stars said 'I'm going to pitch to the music supervisor who works on those films, and if you have anything let me know because they're working on the soundtrack to 'New Moon,'" Tucker recalled during a conversation with MTV News. "I thought about the character of Bella, of this teenage girl who is sort of isolated and lost, and she really goes through this time of being by herself and being really unhappy and not knowing where she wants to go. And then on her own, she kind of comes back to herself. She kind of reawakens. She decides that she's gonna start riding motorcycles and doing all this stuff and connecting with other people. I really identified with being a young woman and sort of coming into your own, so that was a theme I thought could come out on this record."
Tucker also said that she was attracted to the character's strength, which has come to life in the film series through breakout actress Kristen Stewart. "I would argue that Bella has a lot of strengths, but she's very feminine," she said. "She's not this buff physically strong woman, but she has a lot of emotional strength, a lot of mental strength and a lot of wisdom that she brings to relationships."

Kristen's Flaunt cover featured on inStyle

Kristen Stewart gets steamy for Flaunt magazine

Kristen Stewart poses as we've never seen her before in a sexy new photo shoot for Flaunt magazine!

The Twilight star is smokin' as she smoulders in a see-through blouse with, dare we say, no bra.

Kristen teamed the hot look with high-waisted trousers and an edgy, slick-back bouffant updo.

The actress oozes sex appeal with that smoky eye make-up and don't-mess glare.

Kristen, who plays Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga, features in a 14-page shoot for Flaunt.

The actress recently turned 20, and celebrated by visiting her Twilight beau, Robert Pattinson, on the set of his new movie, Bel Ami.

Looking good, K-Stew.

Wuthering Heights Sales Soar Since Twilight

Thanks to the best saga of all time, Twilight, a 150 year old classic novel, Wuthering Heights, has been resurrected. We all know throughout the saga, Bella Swan has either carried the book or had it with her in the house, constantly reading it (much to Edwards dismay). Recently, Twilight fans from all over have decided to give this classic book a try. Now, sales are through the roof!

When Stephanie Meyer featured the literary classic, Wuthering Heights in her Twilightsaga, she breathed new life into Emily Brontes love story. Now, thanks to a new Twilight-esque cover re-vamp, sales of the book are booming.

According to Britains Telegraph, Twi-hards in Britain have been flocking to their nearest bookstore in droves to buy the classic novel after Meyer made it the main character Bellas favorite book in the series. The lovestruck teen (played by Kristen Stewartin the hit films) is often seen quoting from the novel, comparing her love for vampire, Edward (played by Brit hottie Robert Pattinson) to Cathys passion for Heathcliff.

It was a no-brainer when publisher Harper Collins announced last fall they were going to reissue the novel, with a gothic style cover similar to Meyers own books. Featuring the tag line Bella and Edwards Favorite Book, the marketing ploy caused a controversy in literary circles at the time but it certainly seems to have worked sales of the book have since quadrupled.

According to Nielsen Bookscan, the reissue saw sales peak at 34,023 in Britain over the last year compared to 8,551 when the book was published with the original cover back in 2005. Wuthering Heightsis now currently one of the best selling novels in UK supermarket Tesco as well as more traditional bookstores through out the country.

I personally have never read this book, but lately Ive been thinking about going to my local library and seeing if they have it. Have you read Wuthering Heights? If so, what are your thoughts? Is it better than Romeo and Juliet? With Heathcliff and Edward seeming to have similar personas, is it a good comparison to Twilight?

Rolling Stone Wonders Why Twilight Fans Wont Support Robert and Kristens Other Movies

Twilight fans are so rabid that you expect them to turn out to help Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart open their non-Twilight films out of loyalty or dumb curiosity. And yet Remember Me, starring RPattz as an NYU student coping with life and love in a year of global tragedy, opened soft last week and crashed a massive 60 percent in its second weekend. That bites, even though Pattinson didn't.

As for Kristen Stewart, the once and future Bella Swan won decent reviews for playing female rock pioneer Joan Jett in The Runaways. And still the film barely grossed $1 million in its debut. On the other hand, audiences turned out $21 million worth to see Jennifer Aniston spar with Gerard Butler in the abysmally unfunny Bounty Hunter. How has Friends inspired Aniston fealty so far beyond its sell-by date?

Twi-hards, I want answers. The main audience for KStew's rocker-chick flick turned out to be women 25 and older, a demo that actually might remember the Runaways. Younger audiences stayed away. Why? And did Remember Me's dud reviews (a pathetic 27 percent favorable on rottentomatoes.com) discourage RPattz fans from watching him emote without benefit of the brooding Cullen vampire legacy?

Some of you saw The Runaways and Remember Me of your own free will. Reactions, please.
