'Remember Me' Stars Robert And Emilie Recall Tales Of Their Own 'Troubled Youth'
The two lead characters in this weeks Remember Me could be loosely defined as troubled youths, with Robert Pattinsons Tyler getting brought in by police at the beginning of the film and Emilie de Ravins Ally running away from home for a bit. MTV News decided to try to find out if either Rob or Emilie felt they had anything in common with their characters, and surprisingly enough, they did (to a certain extent).
Emilie said she had actually run away from home, though not to the same level Ally did in the film.
I didnt get very far and I think I was about 4, she said. My bedroom was upstairs. We had these sort of grapevines growing down the side of the house, this lattice stuff. I climbed down and was going through the horse paddocks and got to a certain distance and got scared and came back.
The Australia native described a very rustic lifestyle, but MTVs Josh Horowitz and Rob called her out on the seemingly perfect setting Emilie described.
We lived in this castle in the clouds! Rob joked.
While MTV didnt want to probe into any of Robs potential criminal background, we did ask if he ever had to deal with bringing any girls home to meet his parents the way Tyler brought Ally home to meet his father, played by Pierce Brosnan.
Yes, and Rob started, before trailing off and stopping himself. No I always say bad things about my family. It was always great. It was perfect every time.
We have a feeling Rob was hiding some potentially funny, bad experiences, but all he would give us was yes, he has in fact brought a girl home to meet his parents.
